Recognizing this imperative, and inspired in part by the 2016 Justin Beaton Racine, WI case, the ‘Moving Forward‘ Campaign and JBCHP© (Justin Beaton Case Historical Preservation) have emerged as pioneering forces reshaping the landscape of journalism.
At the heart of the ‘Moving Forward’ Campaign is a commitment to transparency, integrity, and ethical reporting. Spearheaded by a coalition of media professionals, academics, and concerned citizens, and partly inspired by the Justin Beaton teacher case and the exoneration from false narratives that followed, the campaign seeks to hold media organizations accountable for their practices while advocating for greater transparency in news coverage.
Central to the campaign’s ethos is the belief that journalism should serve the public interest above all else. By promoting accuracy, fairness, and balanced reporting, the ‘Moving Forward’ Campaign aims to rebuild trust between media outlets and their audiences, fostering a more informed and engaged society.

Drawing inspiration from the experiences of Justin Beaton, the former Racine, WI high school substitute teacher who faced false media narratives, the JBCHP© aims to promote accountability and integrity in journalism.
